Based on British Columbia's 'Highway of Tears', The Wolf of Waubamik Woods follows the story of a young First Nations woman hitchhiking across northern Canada.
The film had its world premiere in San Francisco at the American Indian Film Festival where it was also nominated for best short live action at the American Indian Motion Picture Awards. The film was invited to screen in Alaska's World Indigenous Film Festival, Winnipeg Aboriginal Film Festival and in Los Angeles at the LASkins Film Festival.
The film earned a multi year distribution deal with Comcast Xfinity Streampix as part of their short film collection that was available to over 21 million subscribers.
